England vs France Live Stream

England began the 2019 Six Nations in impressive style, beating Grand Slam champions Ireland 32-20. It’s just the second time England have won against Ireland in Dublin during the Six Nations, having only previously defeated them at home in 2003.

France were victors in Paris, 22-16. Eddie Jones’ men needed to beat Les Bleus and score four tries to keep the Championship alive, but they came nowhere close in a largely toothless display.

A game poised 9-9 at half-time was blown open when Anthony Watson’s high tackle on Benjamin Fall saw the England full-back sent to the sin-bin for 10 minutes and a penalty try awarded.

Jonny May’s late touchdown gave the visitors hope of an unlikely win, but France held out against an England onslaught at the death.

Scotland beat Italy 33-20 in their opener at Murrayfield – with Blair Kinghorn scoring a hat-trick – before England stunned Ireland with a 32-20 win in Dublin.

England produced a stunning performance to end Ireland’s formidable home run and underline their status as serious Six Nations contenders with a remarkable bonus-point win in Dublin.

But Edinburgh wing Kinghorn ended that long wait as Stuart Hogg and Chris Harris also crossed over the whitewash to give Gregor Townsend’s side the perfect start with a bonus point triumph.

Of big concern to coach Gregor Townsend will be the match’s final quarter, in which Italy took full advantage of Simon Berghan’s yellow card and ran in three late tries despite rarely threatening before that.

For all the talk of an increased selection pool that comes as a result of Edinburgh and Glasgow’s impressive performances both in Europe and the Pro14, bench depth remains a key worry amid a slew of injuries and Scotland have to maintain better levels of concentration throughout the full 80 minutes.
